Still in Wyoming

In Rock Spring Wyoming and leaving this morning, next stop Utah. Mountains here are beautiful and wildlife is plentiful. A whole lot of real estate out here, no walking to the neighbors house to borrow a cup of sugar.

More sightseeing!

Visited the 20th Century Veterans Memorial in North Platte, as well as Wild Bill Cody's home. Janet, Kenny and Donna also spent some time at the Grain Bin Antique Town, I passed and went back to camp. We are traveling this morning, heading to Cheyenne Wyoming ( I think).

Crossing the Plains

At a rest stop in NE. That is our camper in the background of the limestone sculpture.

Union Pacific's Bailey Yard

We're in North Platte NE. spending a few days sightseeing. The Guinness Book of World Records certifies Bailey Yard as the worlds largest railroad yard, with a mind-boggling array of more than 315 miles of track, accommodating up to 150 trains a day. Pretty awesome view watching the Hump yards send cars to their respective Locomotives for dispatching to their destinations.

Deer in camp.

Deer in our camp site. They really must be use to humans, because they were not afraid of us.

Little Nugget........

Nice little place Don and Diane took us to our first night in Illinois, here you can cook you own steaks! They had fantastic chicken wings too! We leave this morning and should be in Iowa  this afternoon.

Good Bye Indiana, Hello Illinois

We had another music night in Goshen and the FROG rally has ended. That was a quick two weeks and a lot was done on the campers by the factory trained workers of Forest River. They do a awesome job. We left Saturday morning and arrived in Danville  Illinois late Saturday afternoon to visit friends. It was another bad travel day as it rained hard during the drive . Again we were traveling in a  fierce rain storm, moving about 35mph or less with the flashers on.

Music night

Tonight we had a band play after dinner. Janet loved it as they played the 50's and 60's. The band was called the Bullfrogs! How appropriate for a FROG Rally.

Feeding Frenzy!

The Rally at Goshen is getting big! About sixteen hundred are fed in this building. It is getting to be quite a feat to service everyone. They actually ran out of food the first night. The food has been good, not as good as last year, but good. We get breakfast every morning and three dinners during the week, Tuesday and Thursday dinner on our own. Yesterday we went on a bus trip to the Cedar Creek  factory and learned how they make our camper. Janet loves the new Cedar Creek Champagne model and wants it for her birthday, I fear she may be disappointed.

Stopped by a Diner Drive-in and Dives place in Goshen Ind. It was called South Side Soda Shop. I had a " Philly Chili".  It was their famous chili on top of noodles, topped with sour cream, raw onions, and cheese.  Pretty yummy!  As you can see, it was served in a soda glass?  ( the chili)  Different .   Janet had a chicken club sandwich.

Training Day

Well,we are at Goshen Indiana. It is Kenny and Donna's anniversary and we went out to dinner to celebrate. Donna looked up a steak place only to find out they only serve steak's on the weekend? Of course we did not find that out till we got there. So most had Bluegill Baskets, and I had a Flaming burger! Now where did I put those Rolaids? Today is training day for us parking team members. We need to learn how to park the 850 campers coming in in the next few days, sounds like fun. Kenny and I got to play a couple of games  of cornhole last night, the group across from us play too, might have a tournament tonight.

See, we did see the Lone Ranger and Silver!

Great Lake Michigan

Had to pop up to Michigan's Western shore on the way to Goshen . Spent the night at Shamrock Park in the Village of Berrien Springs. We are on the St Joseph River which runs to the Great Lake of Michigan. Found this clam along the shore of the river, must have made a great meal for some animal, but I imagine it had to be tough. Leaving Pa. we had a super strong rain storm, almost had us stopped on the interstate. We trucked along about 35 mph with the flashers on for some time. Glad that is over. This morning we head into Goshen where we will stay for a couple of weeks for the rally.

On the road again!

Well we are off and running . Left the house yesterday, stopped in South Mountain rest stop for lunch (still Maryland). But got to see the Lone Ranger and Silver. Arrived in Shanksville Pa for the night. We are just a few miles from the Flight 93 crash site. Leaving this morning for Sandusky Ohio. Hopefully I will post a picture tomorrow.
