Pocono Mountain

Last stop on our way home, Pocono Mountains. Shawnee Ski Resort had a Lumberman Festival. Wood carving, wood cutting, axe throwing, and pole climbing. We even went on a ski lift (no snow) but it was nice. We are finally home from the fall trip, had a blast.

Vermont

While in Vermont we stopped at Hemming ways Auto museum and walked by this beautiful church. Also visited the Bennington local museum and learned about Grandma Moses and the battle of Bennington.

Covered Bridges!

Found a couple of covered bridges driving around New Hampshire.

Pickle Festival, Winchester New Hampshire

Nothing like an old fashion Pickle Festival in the mountains of New Hampshire.

Medway Maine

Our campsite in Kathadin Shadows campground.

Bubba

I  know it's another lobster picture,  but Bubba is a three pound hardshell lobster.  It was really good.  Janet doesn't care for lobster so I grilled her a nice lemon pepper filet of fresh caught Cod.

More Lobsters!

The local grocery store has lobster on sale for $5.47 lb.  So I  took advantage of the low price and had them for dinner a couple of times this week. Sale ends today. Easy to cook , just boil water, drop them in and boil for 10 minutes. So a lobster feast at that price only will set you back (for two 1.5lb Lobsters ) about $15.00, nice.

Paul Bunyon/Stephen King

Spent the day doing some more sightseeing in Bangor. Visited the 31 foot tall statue of Paul Bunyon ( really wish Babe the blue ox was here).  Then we found the house that Stephen King lives in, there was a red balloon in the window, Janet said it has something to do with a new book he has out. Also visited the Bangor Mall and Hobby Lobby . Beautiful day!

Arcadia National Park

I am sure these pictures do no justice to/for  Arcadia National Park in Maine. It was just a beautiful drive. Might have to do that again. Highest point on the East Coast.

Maine Forest and Logging Museum

The Maine Forest and Logging Museum at Leonard's Mills in Bradley preserving, restoring, and sharing Maine's lumbering heritage through events showcasing life at a mill settlement. There is a water powered sawmill, blacksmith shop, log cabin, shingle mill, and many more lumbering related treasures on site. There are also several self-guided hiking and nature trails. They do remind you that bears and other wild creatures share those woods, so keep your eyes open.

Horseless Carriage!

Spent the day at the Cole Land Transportation Museum .  It was nice and very informative about the Bangor Maine area. Came back to the camper and grilled steak and zucchini squash,  now for a little TV and hit the sack. Tomorrow is another day of adventure. Whatch out Bar Harbor,  we're coming. Oh don't forget Arcadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain!

Lobster!

Although we have had some forms of Lobsters each day, this is the first whole lobster for me on this trip. It was delicious  (actually they were delicious).
